On heating, diffusion becomes faster. Why?

As the temperature is increased, the kinetic energy of molecules gets increased. This increases the intermolecular space because of which the matter can diffuse more easily into another matter.

Explanation: -

Diffusion is the property of matter by which particles of matter spread out and mix on their own due to the motion of particles. The rate of diffusion increases with the increase of temperature because the kinetic energy of particles increases due to a rise in temperature. Hence particles move and spread out faster. Therefore, on heating diffusion becomes faster.
