Silver chloride turns grey when kept in sunlight:

i. Silver chloride gets decomposed into silver and chlorine in the presence of sunlight.


ii. Due to the decomposition, which led to the formation of grey colour of silver chloride to form silver metal.


iii. The reaction is:


2AgCl + Sunlight 2Ag + Cl2
