Formula: -


(i) tan2θ + 1 = sec2θ

Applying the formula we get,


= tan2θ [tan2θ + 1 ]

= sec2θtan2θ


= sec2 θ[sec2θ – 1 ]


= Sec4θ –sec2θ


= L.H.S
