Initial velocity = u = 0.5m/s

Final velocity = v = 0m/s

Mass = 70g = 0.07kg


Force = Mass × Acceleration


= 0.07kg × (–1m/s2)


= –0.07N


NOTE: As the force applied is in the opposite direction to that of motion. Hence force is negative.
