Explain why power sharing is desirable?

Power Sharing means a distribution of power among different elements.

In the working of government, power Is shared among different organs of government, ie, Legislative ,Executive and Judiciary. Power sharing is essential so that decision making can be done at various level with efficiency and accountability.

Power sharing is important because:

• Power sharing is a spirit of Democracy.

• It is a good way to ensure the stability of the political order.

• Enhances transparency and accountability.

• Its absence results into the imposition of will by one community.

• Power sharing helps to reduce the possibility of conflict between the social groups.
