Why Pakistan under Pervez Musharraf should not be called a Democracy? Explain.

Pakistan is not a democratic country, it is under the military regime. There are elected representative in the national and provincial assemblies, but the real power is with the President who is not elected.

• The power to take final decision lies with the Army General and with Musharraf itself.


• Though formally there is an elected Parliament the real power is with non elected.
