In the given figure, ∠BPT=50°. What is the measure of ∠OPB?

PT is tangent to circle and OP is radius


⇒ ∠OPT = 90° …radius is perpendicular to tangent


From figure


⇒ ∠OPT = ∠OPB + ∠BPT


⇒ 90° = ∠OPB + 50° …∠BPT is 50° given


⇒ ∠OPB = 40°


Hence ∠OPB is 40°
