Abu’l Fazl had shaped and articulated the ideas associated with the reign of Akbar‘. Substantiate the statement in the context Mughal court.

The Mughal Court focused on the sovereign. Its centerpiece was the throne or the Takht. The canopy was a symbol of kingship which separated the radiance of the sun from that of the sovereign. Spatial proximity to the king helped to determine the status of those present. People of all classes received a notice to attend the proceedings of the Mughal Court. Sijda was the highest form of salutation which determined the person’s status in the hierarchy.
