What is a monohybrid cross?

When a cross is conducted between dominant and recessive traits of only one character, then it is known as a monohybrid cross.

Example: The cross conducted between Dominant trait tall (TT) and recessive trait (tt), it resulted into all four heterozygous tall (Tt) in the F1 generation.
