All the pictures depict a mother-daughter relationship at different stages of life.

The first picture is of a new born baby who is comfortable playing in her mother’s lap. The child gets the first teachings from her mother. Her mother is protective, caring and possessive about her child. Here the daughter is too young and wants to be looked after. She is calm and content in her mother’s protective arms.

The second picture is of a girl who is sitting with her mother in a study room. This is the stage when a child’s mind can be mould and values can be taught. The mother is merrily teaching her daughter with feelings of guiding and making her capable of doing anything in life. The mother is affectionate to her daughter. Here the daughter seems to understand whatever her mother teaches her. She loves her mother and her eyes show that she wants to learn and is goal-oriented.

The third picture shows the role reversal of a mother and daughter. This is the stage when a mother becomes dependent on her daughter due to old age. She wants to be pampered and looked after the same way she has offered love and care to her children all her life. This is where the daughter assumes the responsibility of taking care of her old mother and making sure that she gets all that she wants in life.
