Q2 of 45 Page 43

Solve the following examples.

Find the length of the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle if remaining sides are 9 cm and 12 cm.

In a right-angled triangle

By Pythagoras theorem

(Hypotenuse)2 = (base)2 + (Perpendicular)2

Given,

Other sides are 9 cm and 12 cm

Hypotenuse2 = 92 + 122

Hypotenuse2 = 81 + 144

Hypotenuse2 = 225

Hypotenuse = 15 cm
