Find the diagonal of a rectangle whose length is 16 cm and area is 192 sq.cm.

Given,


Length of rectangle, l = 16 cm


Breadth of rectangle = b


Area of rectangle = length × breadth


⇒ 192 = 16b


⇒ b = 12 cm


Also, we know that


Length of diagonal = √(l2 + b2)


Where, l = length and b = breadth


⇒ length of diagonal = √(162 + 122)


= √(256 + 144) = 20 cm
