'Uncle I was just going home; but they dragged me back again." What are your thoughts about Phatik when you hear the above words?

Phatik’s uncle Bishamber had decided to take him to Kolkata was his better education and upbringing. Phatik’s mother readily accepted the offer. Even Phatik was very excited to reunite with his cousin and move to Kolkata. After a while, he realized that his aunt didn’t really appreciate his presence in the house. He made several attempts to please her and make a place in her heart but nothing changed. Phatik was disheartened and wanted to go back home. He asked his uncle if he could go back to his village. His uncle told him that he could but only in his vacations. He felt like a caged bird and decided to run away. He did eventually run away one day but was caught by two policemen and returned to his uncle. This made him say that he was just going back home, but they had dragged him back again. He longed for his mother as his health deteoriated but when his mother came to him it was already too late and he died. These lines make Phatik sound like a helpless child wanting to be loved, willing to return to his mother.
