Marginalisation refers to the exclusion from the mainstream. It can be in the context of a person or a group of people due to many factors such as speaking a different language, practising different customs and traditions or following different religions.

This also refers to the situation when a person or a group of people are refused to certain privileges or are treated in a different manner. There are many factors for the same such as economic, social, cultural and political differences.
