Satellite imageries refer to digitally transmitted images that are taken by artificial satellites orbiting earth. It is not constrained by weather. It covers a very large area which ranges from 3500 to above 30, 000 sq.km. In short span it collect large amount of data of the entire area. So, we can say that satellite imageries stimulate map making.
