Write a note on directions with relevant diagram.

North, east, west, south are the four cardinal directions which are denoted by N, E, W, S. Directions are very important. Knowledge about direction is necessary for making maps. We get information about direction from the rotation of earth. In map north direction is easiest to locate because we know that longitudes are the semi circles which join the North and South poles. Upper part of map depicts the north and lower part depicts south. Its right side is east and left side is west.
