What do you know about the Quakers?

i) The Quakers were a religious group, who were the members of the Society of Friends, founded by George Fox.

ii) While they accepted the idea of one Lord and the Holy Spirit, they were against the rites and customs of the Church and against the ordained ministry of the time.

iii) This was seen as heretical by the English government, and Quakers were forced to flee their home for the Americas. They established colonies-most notably Pennsylvania.

iv) The group is known for its anti-war efforts and the spreading of a message of peace.
