Write the remainder when the polynomial f(x) =x3+x2-3x+2 is divided by x+1.

f (x) = x3+ x2 -3x +2

Given,


f (x) divided by (x+1), so reminder is equal to f (-1)


f (-1) = (-1)3 + (-1)2 -3(-1) + 2


= -1 +1 +3 +2


=5


Thus, remainder is 5.
