Q4 of 96 Page 6

Find the remainder when x3+4x2+4x-3 is divided by x.

Let, f (x) = x3 + 4x2 + 4x -3

Given f (x) is divided by x so remainder is equal to f (0)

f (0) = 03 + 4 (0)2 + 4 (0) -3

= 0 - 3

= - 3

Thus, remainder is - 3
