In Fig 8.106, l, m and n are parallel lines intersected by transversal p at X, Y and and Z respectively. Find ∠1, ∠2 and∠3.

From the given figure,

∠3 + ∠myz = 180o(Linear pair)


∠3 = 60o


Now,


Line l ‖ m


∠1 = ∠3 (Corresponding angles)


∠1 = 60o


Now, m ‖ n


∠2 = 120o(Alternate interior angle)


Therefore,


∠1 = ∠3 = 60o


∠2 = 120o
