Write the importance of MOET.

• To improve the chances of a successful production of hybrids in a short time, the MOET (Multiple Ovulation Embryo Transfer Technology) is used.


• In this method, hormones with FSH-like activity given to a cow. They induce follicular maturation and super-ovulation which produces 6-8 per cycle instead of one egg.


• To increase herd size in a short duration of time, high milk-yielding breeds of females and high quality (lean meat with less lipid) meat-yielding bulls can be bred successfully.
