Provide two reasons that make the count of prokaryotic species difficult.

Two reasons that make the count of prokaryotic species difficult are as follows;

A. The level of diversity of prokaryotes is very high.Majority of prokaryotes live under hidden rocks and pores of rocks and sediments.


B. Prokaryotes are microscopic, their population is huge thus counting becomes impossible. Their number keeps changing depending on various factors like food availability, weather condition and predation pressure.
