The sum of the radius of base and height of a solid right circular cylinder is 37 cm. If the total surface area of the solid cylinder is 1628 sq.cm, find the volume of the cylinder.

Let us assume the radius of the cylinder be r and the height be h

It is given in the question that,


R + h = 37 cm (i)


Also, total surface area of cylinder = 1,628 cm2


∴.

∴ r = 7 cm


tng the value of r in we get


+ h = 37


h = 37 – 7


= 30 cm


We also know that,

= 4620 cm3


Hence, the volume of the cylinder 4620 cm3
