4-Ethylnitrobenzene will undergo benzylic bromination in presence of heat or light. Now, as benzylic radicals are more stable therefore benzylic hydrogen is abstracted. Hence, the reaction yields 4-(1-Bromoethyl)nitrobenzene as a product.
