It was a cold and windy night. My friend and me met after a long time and were chatting for hours. We did not notice that time flew away and it was close to ten. We decided to take an auto rickshaw to go to our room. It started raining and the rickshaw had stopped all suddenly. In the lewd reflections of the accumulated black water, I saw the hawk staring deeply into the ripples on the puddle. The grass seemed to be trampled with the historic mud through generations and the surrounding water had slipped under a black garb to serve as the generator of black, inconspicuous mosquitoes. The sky bore its grayish shade with occasional streaks raging from the west sky. The usual living sounds had died out and the sky seemed to engulf me in its impenetrable darkness. I felt helpless. I felt claustrophobic. Everything felt diminished to a point and I felt like being sucked into some unfathomable void, slowly and silently. “No”, I shouted with an alacrity in my voice so much so that it startled the rickshaw driver. The rickshaw stopped now. “Hollow dreams are nothing less but equal to some unravished void”, echoed my friend.
