Q3 of 23 Page 1

Solve Question:

From the top of a lighthouse, an observer looks at a ship and finds the angle of depression to be 60° If the height of the lighthouse is 84 meters, then find how far is that ship from the lighthouse?

Height AB = 84 m

Observer is at A when he sees the ship he feels the distance is AC but the actual distance between the ship and light house is distance BC = x

DAC = C = 60° - - - - - AO BC - - - alternate angles

Let BC = X

X = 97.10 m
