If surface area of a sphere is 5544 cm2, then find the volume of the sphere.

Surface area of sphere = 5544 cm2

Let r be the radius of sphere

⇒ 4πr2 = 5544

⇒ πr2 = 1386

⇒ × r2 = 1386

⇒ r2 = 63 × 7

⇒ r2 = 441

⇒ r = ± 21

r is radius and radius cannot be negative thus r = 21

volume of sphere = πr3

= × × 21 × 21 × 21

= 4 × 22 × 3 × 7 × 21

= 38808 cm3

Therefore, volume of the sphere is 38808 cm3
