To what extent was the Salt Satyagraha successful in its objectives?

Salt Satyagraha was started to break the salt law as the British government imposed a tax on the salt and established a monopoly over its production. Gandhiji successfully organised the Dandi march and peacefully broke the salt law.

- Gandhiji peacefully organised the Salt Satyagraha and by breaking the salt law by the entire nation, British government removed the tax imposed on the salt and also took back the monopoly they established over its production by allowing people to make their own salt.


- When people came to know that Gandhiji had started his walk to break the salt law. People got inspired by this and from different parts of the country people broke the salt law and demonstrated in front of the salt factories, because of this Britishers arrested the people but at the end of the Salt Satyagraha, Britishers released protesters from the Prison.


So it could be said that the reason for which Salt Satyagraha was started was attained peacefully and also helped Indians to believe that they could easily fight for their rights.
