Short note on salt satyagraha.

As the British government imposed taxes on the salt and established British monopoly over its production, Gandhiji decided to break the salt law. He announced that he will start the salt satyagraha to break salt law. So he walked for 24 days from the Sabarmati Ashram to Gujarat coastal town of Dandi. He reached Dandi on 6th April 1930 and broke the salt law by manufacturing salt. Inspired by this, the people from the different parts of the country broke the salt law and demonstrated in front of the salt factories.
