Q4 of 34 Page 66

What would happen if an animal cell is kept in distilled water for 24 hours?

As we know at the flow of water always occurs from higher concentration to lower concentration which is also the principle of osmosis. When an animal cell is kept in distilled water for some time, then the water from outside will enter inside the cell, and if the time is exceeded too long, the cell can even be caused due to the water pressure which is created inside the cell.
