What will happen if?

Concentrated solution of fertilizers is applied to green grass lawns.

Fertilizer will help your grass grow and become bigger in size and volume. It will make the shape bigger and will become tight in size. This solution is a hypotonic solution.

But if the solution of fertilizers is heavenly concentrated then exothermic reaction will take place due to which the grass will become flaccid, because of the conc. of fertilizer is more than the solution present in grass. The fertilizers (medium) have a lower concentration of water then the cell. So, the cell will lose water by exosmosis. Therefore, the cell will shrink due to the loss of water. This condition of cell is called flaccid and the phenomenon is called flaccidity. When cell losses water by exosmosis, there will be shrinkage of the contents of the cell away from the cell wall.
