Animals depend on plastids present in plant cells. Explain How?

We all know the process of photosynthesis where plants prepare their own food in the presence of chlorophyll and sunlight.

Plastids have a major role in this process is they contain chloroplast which is the basic necessity in photosynthesis. If plants could not perform photosynthesis, then there would be no food and animals won't be able to consume any.

Thus to sustain their life animals depend on plastids present in a plant cell.
