Why do plains like Krishna delta have a dense settlement?

Krishna delta is formed by river Krishna in the Indian State of Andhra Pradesh. The soil deposited by the river in the delta region is very fertile. The soil type of the region is alluvial soil which helps in the production of food crops in the regions. Cultivation of food crops and selling them to become a source to earn a livelihood for the people. It also makes easy availability of food products in the region which encourage people to settle there. These are the reasons plains like Krishna delta have a dense settlement.
