⇒ a + 5 = 2(b + 10)

Put the value of a in above equation,

⇒ 3b + 5 = 2b + 20

⇒ 3b – 2b = 20 – 15

⇒ b = 15

Thus, a = 3b = 3 (15) = 45

Hence father's present age is 45 years.
