Which state has the largest area under permanent forests?

Madhya Pradesh has the largest forest cover in India. More than 30% of its area is under the forest cover. It has a dry deciduous type of forest. Trees like sal, bamboo, are common. It has many national parks, wildlife sanctuary, and tiger reserves.
