Write a note on the Wildlife Protection Act 1972.

The provisions of the act are:

A. The act provides protection of wild animals, birds, and plants, to ensure the ecological and environmental security of India.

B.the act Extends to the whole of India, except the State of Jammu and Kashmir which has its own wildlife act

C. It provides for a prohibition on the use of animal traps except under certain circumstances

D. It also sets up the National Tiger Conservation Authority.

E. The acts set up various provisions related to trade and penalties for hunting the animals in wild.

F. No grazing is allowed inside a national park.

G. All provisions applicable to a sanctuary are also applicable to a national park.
