Analyse the relationship between India and Pakistan.

Pakistan has antagonistic when maintaining relations with India. But India has made many efforts to improve and stabilise relations with Pakistan.

1) Jammu and Kashmir issue: This issue is one of the major issues between India and Pakistan. Pakistani leaders thought that Kashmir belonged to Pakistan as the majority of the population was Muslims. But people were against joining Pakistan. Then Pakistan sent tribal infiltrators from its side to capture Kashmir. So Maharaj of Kashmir took the help of the Indian army to get out of the problem. Maharaj had signed an instrument of accession with the government of India. India also agreed to maintain the autonomy of Jammu and Kashmir.

2) Siachen glacier issue: It was a military conflict between India and Pakistan over the disputed Siachen glacier region in Kashmir. There was Karachi agreement at the end.

3) Bangladesh crisis: It was a military confrontation between India and Pakistan that occurred during the liberation war in Bangladesh. It was ended when the Pakistan military signed the Instrument of surrender.
