Q5 of 84 Page 295

An object is placed at a distance of 8 cm form a convex mirror of focal length 12 cm. Find the position of the image formed?

According to the question;

Focal length (f) = 12cm;

Object distance (u) = -8cm;

By mirror formula;

⇒

⇒ v = .

Since v = 4.8cm which is positive hence image is behind the mirror.
