What sources did Nehru depend on while writing from prison?

While in prison, Nehru dedicated himself to reading and writing. Certainly, he could not lay his hands on the best of resources, but he managed to gather a few notebooks in the entire duration of twelve years of visits and transfers from one jail to another. In the meantime, he also managed to browse through a few books that came and went, because of his inability to make a collection out of them while in jail, and he admits to have blindly followed these books, without any original data oh his own.
