Q3 of 21 Page 119

"Detail, my good Roger, attention to detail that is the beginning of greatness." Discuss how ironically, Lord, Weston lands himself in trouble by "paying attention to detail", in about 150–200 words.

In the beginning of the play, Lord Weston said to his secretary Roger to pay attention to every small detail in life in order to become a successful person by stating "Detail, my good Roger, attention to detail that is the beginning of greatness." But his own saying had put a great ironical impact upon him in the end of the play when he found out his mistake of not paying attention to the note properly where the message scribbled as “Remember Caesar” is written on a piece of paper which was actually a reminder message that might goes like “Remember Caesar, the gardener will come to meet me in the morning” and instead had thought of it as a death threat for himself on which he created so much panicking drama to prevent himself from the assassination and even put his secretary in to the false belief of that message. Because of his own senseless fears and over cautious nature of being killed he made a complete fool of himself and due to a minor misunderstanding brought by the memory loss about that crumpled piece of paper he actually conveyed that he was not capable of serving and providing such learning to people which he himself didn’t attain yet.
