Explain the concept of ‘Possibilism’ with suitable examples.

People take time in accepting change. They understand their environment and forces of nature gradually as time passes. Humans develop better and efficient technology with development both socially and culturally. This helps them in moving from a state of necessity to that of freedom. Humans start creating possibilities with resources that are available from the environment. Human activities become such that they create a cultural landscape. Some examples of such creations are health resorts on highlands, huge urban sprawls, fields, orchards and pastures in plains and rolling hills, ports on the coasts, oceanic routes on the oceanic surfaces and satellites operating in the space. This is the concept of ‘possibilism’ as termed by earlier scholars.
