Why do clown fish and sea anemone pair up? What is this relationship called?

Clown fish and sea anemone pair up. Clown fish lives among the sea anemone and gets protection from predators which stay away from the stinging tentacles of the anemone. The anemone however does not get any benefit by hosting the clown fish.


The relationship is called commensalism (interaction in which one species benefits and the other is neither harmed nor benefited) .
