The volume of a circular iron rod of length 1 m is 3850 cm3. Find its diameter.

It is given in the question that,

Volume of cylindrical rod = 3850 cm3


Height of the rod = 1m = 100cm


Now,


In order to find the diameter of the rod we need to find the radius of the rod


Hence,


Volume of cuboid =


3850 =


3850 =


r2 =


r = 1.75× 7


r = 3.5 cm


Hence,


Diameter = 2(radius)


= 2 × 3.5


= 7 cm
