If each side of a cube is doubled, its surface area

Let the side of the cube be “a” unit

Original Surface area = 6a2 sq units


Now, when each side of a cube is doubled than its surface area:


New surface area = 6 (2a2) sq units


= 24a2 sq units


Therefore, the surface area of the cube is 4 times than its original area


Hence, option B is correct
