Q29 of 94 Page 228

The diameter of a cylinder is 14 cm and its curved surface area is 220 cm2. the volume of the cylinder is

Given that,

Diameter = 14v cm

So, Radius = 7 cm

We know that,

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2rh

220 cm2 = 2rh

h =

h = 5 cm

Therefore,

Volume of cylinder = r2h

= × 7 × 7 × 5

= 770 cm3

Hence, option A is correct
