Name the parts A, Band C shown in the following diagram and state one. Function of each.


The following parts of the flower are shown below:


 


Part (A) is Anther.


Function: It makes the pollen grains and stores them. These pollen grains contain the male gametes of the plant.


Part (B) is Filament.


Function: The filament is a stalk-like structure that is attached to the base of the flower. On its top, is attached the "anther" which is the structure that produces pollen.


Part (C) is Ovary


Function: The swollen part at the bottom of carpel is called ovary. It makes ovules and stores them. Ovules are the female gametes of plants.
