Excretion primarily involves

Excretion is the removal of all harmful and unwanted substances from the body. This doesn’t necessarily include just undigested and unabsorbed food. Also, excretion involves all the activities that are taking place at the cellular level. The undigested food is not directly affecting the cellular metabolism.
