What is biodiversity? What will happen if biodiversity of an area is not preserved? Mention one effect of it.

Biodiversity is composed of flora and fauna in a particular area. The number of and type of species residing in an area is known as Biodiversity.


If biodiversity of an area is not preserved, there will be instability in the ecosystem leading to various disasters such as floods, forest fires.
