From the top of a 15 m high building, the angle of elevation of the top of a cable tower is 60o and the angle of depression of its foot is 30o. Determine the height of the tower.


Let AB be the building, with AB=15m


And CE be the cable tower.


And D be the point at exact same height of A, CD=AB=15m


In ΔADC,




AD=15√3m


In ΔADE,




DE=15 × 3=45m


∴ Height of cable tower, CE=CD + DE=15 + 45=60m
