Depletion of ozone in the ozone layer is a cause for our worry. Why?

Ozone layer plays an important role in Earth’s atmosphere as it absorbs the harmful UV radiation of the sunlight and is important for survival on Earth. Since it absorbs harmful UV radiations and protects us from Sun’s harmful rays and various skin diseases including cancer. The use of chloro-Fluoro carbons (CFCs) have resulted in the depletion of Ozone layer. If Ozone layer depletion continues, it may lead to skin cancer, cataracts, damage in immune system etc. It can also lead to affect the rainfall, aquatic food chain and much more.
